ECHO Name:  Apostle (Echotag: APOSTLE)

 Moderator:  Mark Holland (12:3002/2)

 ECHO Purpose:  (1) Review and discussion of Christian Reference texts
 and books which speak to Christian study, growth, and faith.
 (2) Sharing of knowledge gained through personal research. (3) Sharing
 of information from printed media such as newspapers, magazines,
 articles, etc.

 ECHO Protocol:

 The review of books and texts is for the purpose of providing
 information about the multitude of texts which teach ethics, religion,
 and superstition instead of Christianity.  This discussion is designed
 in part to promote the discussion of the better texts and provide
 sufficient information that money, time, and study, can be wisely
 stewarded for His glory.

 Personal research papers and other documented material are also
 encouraged provided that references and bibliographies are presented
 with the posts.

 Additional information from printed media such as newspapers, magazines,
 articles, and other printed media are encouraged to keep Christians
 up to date on what is in the news, and point them towards recent
 articles, or information that they otherwise would miss.

 Discussions of posted reviews, papers, articles and etc. are encouraged
 provided they reference the original works or provide additional
 information from the same author or additional authors.  These
 discussions should be centered on the content of the material presented
 and not personal attacks.

 Discussion of Software which is intrinsically designed for the promotion
 of the Gospel or as an aid to Christian growth will also be permitted in
 this echo.  Since there are other echoes which deal with software in
 general, any discussion  of software on Apostle must be kept within the
 narrow spectrum mentioned above.  It should also be noted that support
 echoes already exist for some programs such as OLB.

 ECHO Discipline:  The Moderator will guide the discussion by providing
 whatever responses he chooses to questions.  Book reviews are encouraged,
 but "bashing and flaming" negative posts are discouraged.  The purpose
 of this echo is to enlighten not destroy.  Discussions should be
 centered around the content of the reviews, papers, and articles.
 Personal attacks will not be tolerated,
