TAG CB_RADIO RULE Rules for the CB Radio echo. --- The CB Radio Conference EchoTag: CB_RADIO Last Rules Update: July 16, 1999 version 1.0.1 Your Host and Moderator Roy Witt 1:10/22 roywitt@access1.net | new since last revision |C () changed since last revision |D () summary of deleted material CB_RADIO ECHO GUIDE LINES ------------------------- 1. Topics should relate to radio in general. 2. NO blatant profanity, flames, insults or slander. 3. Any disputes with other echo users will be in a gentlemanly/ladylike manner. All disputes with the Moderator(s) WILL be handled in Netmail and not in the echo. Let the moderator do the moderating. Those conference users who do not have access to Email or Netmail should advise a moderator of their situation here and we'll do our best to provide you with a means of communication to resolve any question or situation you may have. 4. Edit your Quotes! Please quote only that to which you are replying and please change the subject line when you change topics. 5. The CB-RADIO echo is NOT bound by FidoNet! It's open to any network and system that wishes to carry it. However, gating or cross-posting of this echo conference to any other conference and/or networks will not be permitted without explicit permission from the moderator(s). 6. Please leave the moderating to the moderator(s). I/we as moderator(s), reserve the right to change these guidelines as/if situations would warrant. 7. The moderator hates whiners and cry-babies. He's already raised three kids of his own. If you feel you are being picked on, leave. The moderator reserves the right to ban anyone from the conference for *any* reason, and to cut-off any BBS whose sysop fails to prevent a banned person from posting here. 8. All messages posted in the CB_RADIO echo will contain the REAL name of the poster. Alias' are preferred in the body of the message, but may be used in the FROM: field with permission of the moderator. 9. Commercial Use. Commercial use of an echo in Fidonet is frowned upon. Most sysops are paying for this out of their own pockets, and don't want to foot the bill for commercial advertising. However, store owners or businessmen MAY respond to want-ads from people looking for specific products. If someone asks "where can I get a blah-blah-blah?" feel free to respond if you have a blah-blah-blah in stock. You may post an occasional "press release" type of message if you have a _new_ or unique product that is of interest to the conference participants. Advice, comments, and recommendations about commercial products in response to a question are always appropriate. 10. These rules are a living document and I reserve the right to change them as I see necessary. Input (via netmail or E-mail) is always welcome.
