Novell is a bit brain-dead even in the small things that can influence people.
In an attempt to show off Novell SUSE,  Novell released a VMware app of it.
Unfortunately they didn't bother to integrate it with the VMware tools or even
see if it came up properly. The boot screen came up garbled as 4 tiny
unreadable screens that took a bit of work to fix. The idiots at Novell 
published a manual fix but didn't bother to fix the canned app. None of the
other  VMware Linux applications I tried from Ubuntu to Red Hat had the
problems that the official Novell one had.

Some analysts are predicting that this may be Novell's last chance to right the
ship. I doubt they will succeed
