UNIXODBC.ZIP 2883 Kb. Seventh version of unixODBC port for OS/2.
unixODBC port done with GCC v3.2.2 including PM
datamanager and query window. This package
contains a port of the unixODBC ODBC driver
manager and ODBC drivers for OS/2. The driver
manager is at level 3.51. ODBC is an interface
by which programs and programmers can
communicate with any database which has an ODBC
driver. While most databases have one or more
APIs in various programming languages, ODBC
allows the same programming code to talk with
numerous types of databases. (ODBC is not the
only interface to do this, but it is very widely
used and supported). The port now includes both
the postgreSQL, mySQL and FreeTDS drivers and
RexxSQL for ODBC. Ported by Lorne Sunley.

the file and text search utility provided with
OS/2. Unlike PMseek, RexxSeek can handle

it can be called from a command line. RexxSeek
can look for (partial) file names, or for
(plain) text content in files. For every file it
finds, it will create a shadow or a
(user-defined) program object in the results
folder. During the search, the title of the
results folder is continously updated to reflect
