So I mentioned a specific writer. So what? How does that imply that
I'm saying that JMS should take it upon himself to approach Del Rey and
work this out? **It doesn't.**
> and how long the outlines should be
Again, so what? I'm just indicating that the new novels should probably
be generated from JMS outlines that are similar to what he did with the
Del Rey trilogies. Reason: the Del Rey trilogies worked out *great*. :D
i.e. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is about *novels*, NOT what
JMS may or may not tell us of where Crusade was going in the Cafe Press
scriptbooks.
This thread is about "Crusade 'Canon' Novels from Del Rey or Another
Similar Publisher."
> and mention Cafe Press (where JMS self-publishes) as an alternative to
both Mongoose and Del Rey.
What??? I hadn't even *considered* Cafe Press for this. You're reading
tons of material between the lines that just are NOT there. I responded
in a different thread (reproduced her for convenience) about Cafe Press:

...but that was NOT about novels, and NOT what I'm talking about in this
thread. However, I see where you're getting confused. Rob said "If the
books also gave an outline of where the show was going...." I took that
to mean a couple of pages about where the show was going in the broad
strokes, **NOT** the kind of detailed 20-30 page "outline" that JMS
prepared for the Del Rey trilogies. I was NEVER suggesting that JMS
include the latter in the scriptbooks.
This thread is not about the scriptbooks.

Only if they mix and match threads the way you did.

I am doing no such thing. *You* just got two threads mixed up in your
head. In this thread, I had no intention of talking about the
scriptbooks and Cafe Press. *You* brought that in here.
> Did you ever hear of the concept of "the benefit of the doubt"?
Just read what I said in the OP of this thread and take it LITERALLY.
There are no hidden meanings. It was a 100% straight question. I was
trying to keep it simple, and you jumped in here, jumped to the wrong
conclusion and mucked it all up.

I WASN'T thinking that Cafe Press was a "publisher". I am talking about
U.S. publishing companies on the level of Del Rey.

It was?

Did you search within B5TV for any keywords that you remember from the
discussion?

Argh! And I bet nobody transcribed it for JMSNews.

Lemme know.

No confusion here. The confusion was in your mixing of the threads.

This thread was to be solely about Crusade Canon novels, NOT about
scriptbooks.

Yes, waning sales almost a **year and a half** after the **last** book
of the Technomage trilogy came out. By this time, I bet 99% of the B5
fans who read books would have bought the trilogies already. Waning
sales that far down the road is not surprising.

Please, next time, actually read what I wrote.
