No, not at all (in fact the post you're replying to says that a set
piece generally *wouldn't* come before the credits.) The major set-
piece in The Two Towers would be the Battle of the Hornburg at Helm's
Deep, for example. I suppose you could think of set-pieces as the
'showy' moments of a work, with the character development, plot
exposition and scene-setting as the connective tissue in between and
around the set-pieces.
