You know, I hear this from people a lot.  I'd think that most people who have 
been on the internet as long as most of us would be embarrassed to admit that 
we were using particular features of our e-mail, or browser, or _any_ 
application, simply because they were the default -- because that's what 
newbies do.  People like us know how to set/change preferences.

To those of you who say "I do it because it's the default setting," do you 
not know how to change this preference?  Does anyone use a newsreader where 
you _cannot_ change this preference?  I'm asking seriously.

Except that you didn't.  If you were consistent about bottom-posting, you 
wouldn't have to make that decision each time, risking error such as this.

Yup, sure is...  ;-)

(Incidentally, not directed to Hank but to all: this reply was an example of 
snipping all but immediate context.  Now, did _anyone_ have trouble following 
the conversation?  Did anyone have to go back and see what the people before 
Hank said, to refresh their memories?  <g>  )
