A Bond flick! I wish! And nope, the dead body isn't in the pool in this
one, alas. Based on who's directing it, though, there's been a lot of joking
around here about small folk -- or big apes -- whose hairy feet could
potentially clog the pool filter...

Yeah, the key is to get them to do a film that requires _upgrades_ of some
kind. The neighbors down at the other end of the block, where they're
filming -- who live in split ranches, which look more 70s than the houses on
my end -- are going to have their houses painted in outdated 1970s colors,
have their modern garage doors replaced with older-style ones, satellite
dishes hidden, etc. etc., so in most cases, they're probably going to want
the production to put the houses back as they were. Still, they'll have a
new paint job out of it, and the location manager promised they'll be doing
it properly -- scraping and priming and all, both times (the 1970s paint job
_and_ the repaint to the original color). I'm torn between being unhappy
they're filming down at the other end (i.e. I'm missing out on a free
repainting), and pleased that our end of the block doesn't resemble 1970s
Norristown (a much more blue-collar enclave than our actual town). :-)
