He's not a monster.  He's a likeable kid who's been taught some really bad
ideas about the Centauri imperial destiny.  But he only feels superior to
other races in the abstract.  When it comes to actual encounters with beings
from other races, such as Sheridan in the episode, he's charming (genuinely,
not as a manipulative ploy) and *modest*.  If he gets to hang out with nice
people for a while, as opposed to people who play nasty practical jokes on
reporters, he may well learn to see the contradiction between his abstract
ideas and his actual knowledge.

Of course, all of this is assuming that Centauri psychology is like human
psychology.  But that does seem to be true of all the races we actually meet
on B5 (as opposed to the ones we only hear about) -- some are nicer and some
are nastier, but they all have pride and anger and love and embarrassment and
all those things.  That Other TV Show tried for a non-human-like psychology
for the Vulcans, but it never worked, and was totally blown out of the water
by Harlan Ellison. :-)  I can't offhand think of a really convincingly
non-human-like psychology in SF, although of course I haven't read/seen
everything and I'm sure someone will come up with an example.

Ironically, I think the B5 character best suited to bring up the prince is
Vir!  No nonsense from him about ruling the galaxy.  Second choice: Lennier.
