Second thing:  There are, so far as I know, 14 Babylon 5 comic books. 
The first 11 are titled Babylon 5, and the last 3 have a subtitle of In 
Valen's Name.  I bought them all when they were new, and still had some 
trouble finding a few of them.

There are books that have synopses of seasons, and there is a technical 
manual, but I presume you were interested in novels.  There are 18 
novels altogether.  The first are numbered 1-9 and are sort of like the 
Star Trek novels.

1. 95/02/13   John Vornholt      Voices

3. 95/09/13   John Vornholt      Blood Oath
4. 96/01/10   Jim Mortimore      Clark's Law
5. 96/02/10   Neil Barrett, Jr.  The Touch of Your Shadow, the Whisper

7. 97/03/14   Jeanne Cavelos     The Shadow Within
8. 97/04/14   Al Sarrantonio     Personal Agendas
9. 97/06/15   Kathryn Drennan    To Dream in the City of Sorrows

They take one or two characters off on a separate adventure.  1-6 and 8 
deal with an adventure that has nothing to do with the main story. 
Numbers 7 and 9 are pretty much essential if you really want to know 
what is going on.  The other 9 are three trilogies.

One, written by J Gregory Keyes, deals with the Psi Corps and Bester.

The second, written by Peter David, is called Legions of Fire deals with 
Centauri Prime and the Centauri people.  The subtitles of the three are

The third, written by Jeanne Cavelos, deals with the technomages.  It is 
  called The Passing of the Techomages.  Subtitles are Casting Shadows, 
Summoning Light, and Casting Shadows.  For some reason, Casting Shadows 
costs a lot more than the others on amazon or other sources.  All are 
available used, and the Psi Corps one is sometimes available new in 
bookstores.

I think the best trilogy is the Psi Corps one, but others will disagree
