We have a pretty good idea, studying soil structures, tree rings, etc. . .
I wouldn't say it's rare that it snows in "Israel" -- being as every year for
the past several, there's been a healthy dumping there (more than we've had
here in my part of Canada!)

Read above paragraph of mine as response to this just-above one of yours. . .

Okay, we're on the same page for this one!

Who says he did begin it before he was 30 years of age? Luke suggests he was
"about 30" (and that's a physician's opinion)

Like I said, the calendar evidence suggests quite clearly that he was arrested
on a Wednesday night in 33CE after the first Passover Seder Jesus shared with
his posse('family' of sorts)

If we accept the gospel accounts as having historical value, we know that
Jesus' crucifixion occurred just prior to a Sabbath(Friday sundown) that
occurred after Passover that fell on a Wednesday (Thursday would be
"Preparation Day" only given those circumstances; and this is the only way he
could have been claimed both to have been buried between Passover & the
Sabbath, to have risen on the first day (Sunday) AND to have been buried 3
complete days. . .

Moot details -- the only issues at issue, are whether one accepts the Gospel
accounts, and, too, whether one accepts that Jesus died at some time and was
subsequently resurrected at some later time, plus, of course, what that should
signify to one, if one accepts it all as facts!
