we've got about 7 inches of snow...melted down to about 4 still in the yard. 
Temps have been getting into the low 20's at night and even dipping into the 
teens for a while...the roads are sheer ice. It's been nice just staying home 
and laying low!

We never really had any bad weather when we were there...pretty windy one 
day when we went to Lil Abner's for dinner one night...but that was about it. 
I thought Tucson was laid out fairly nicely and traffic never seemed to be 
much of a problem if you simply avoided the immediate area of one of the 
show venues. Of course I'm used to Seattle traffic and that might be a factor 
as well (grin).

-> decided to spend the night along the way.  Ended up staying in a motel
-> with gorgeous handmade quilts on the beds and a neat junque shop beside
-> it.  The owner gave me a thimble (I was going to buy it) when he heard
-> that Steve is active duty and Deborah is also in the military. (G)

We have wanted to go to New Mexico for a long time but it never seemed to 
work out for us to go...looks like this may be the year! We're very excited 
and doing all sorts of online research on what we want to do!

That should be your highest priority! You should make some good chicken 
stew! I cooked a big meatloaf, and a biiiig pork roast today with a mole glaze 
that more or less got burned into a hard crust. the roast was dry but still 
good.
