Good! Maybe the school system will straighen itself out.  I've yet to be
in a place where the public school system is doing as good a job as it
could, generally thru no fault of the teacher but from higher up.  Some
teachers aren't worth the money paid them but it seems to be the
administration that doesn't do a great job in making sure the kids are
well educated.

Are uniforms required?  Sometimes that helps equalise the kids--no brand
names, "bling" or other set aparts help the kids unite.

For sure!  I don't make the sauce my mom made us eat (just a generic
meat sauce) and have even ventured quite a ways a way from the basic
marinara Steve's mom uses 99% of the time.
