We've not done much exploring of the city yet, only got here on Sept. 23
of last year.  We've driven around the historic district and gone out to
Tybee Island but I guess we'll do more s time permits.  It does look
like a nice little city; I do enjoy reading about the area where we're
living so I guess I need to find copies of the Eugeinia Price books she
wrote about the area.  Back in 1996, when our daughter visited her
(then) boyfriend, now husband in Warner Robbins, he took her to Savannah
and showed her the places where "Forrest Gump" was filmed in the city.
We've been to Love's Seafood out on the Ogeechee river that was used as
the setting for the shrimp boating part. Good food out there!

It is fun watching kids, especially if you are related to them.  Being a
military family, our girls didn't see their cousins very often so it was
always interesting to see how the relationships changed each time they
did get together.  My parents have 3 grandsons (plus David); our girls
are the only granddaughters and Steve's parents have a mix of grand sons
and daughers so dynamics changed from one visit to the next.  All of
Steve's siblings live within 10 miles of each other but mine are a bit
more scattered. We each have 2 brothers & 2 sisters; he's the 2nd
youngest (last boy) and I'm 2nd oldest (first girl) in our families.

Sounds like we'll have things other than cooking to talk about in MD
when we meet.

I'm sure he's passed along some of the nonsense that goes on from time
to time as well. (G)  That's the fun of the diversity.  Oh, and beware,
there are several sets of "same initials" posters; there's another Ruth
H on the board but she's single and lives in CT but also a sewer &
quilter.

OK, then no problems.  I can remember my mom buying that and the puffed
wheat cereals when I was a kid; the puffed rice never had any "fill
power", the puffed wheat was (marginally) better in that regard.

They are, and sometimes a bit on the silly side, especially his
encounters with "W" and some of the other crazies.  Savannah doesn't
have most of the stores he has access to in the Atlanta area though.
(sigh) We are finding out about some of the "off the beaten path" ones
here tho.
