If it's a nice enough day that we'll be outside as well as inside, there
shouldn't be any problem.  Are you planning on putting up a canvas
shelter or anything in the yard for shade/protection if it is a bit
rainy and we've propane stoves going?

Now that one sounds intriguing. You could show us a few things there I
suspect.

 RH> Possible; we aren't world's experts on Korean food but could give it a
 RH> go.  Remember, the more red pepper flakes, the hotter the dish.  It's
 RH> not the usual cayenne type red pepper either, tho that could be used
 RH> if you couldn't get the Korean type.  Somewhere in the stuff that needs
 RH> putting away yet, I've got some information about the peppers that I

 DS>   All I know is that some of it looks interesting, some of it looks
 DS>   scary and I'm afraid to try.

Now there aren't any shrimp with heads on etc to scare you.  And, fear
of the unknown goes away once you know what something is.  I think the
folks who ran our favorite place in Mililani were a bit suspicious the
first time I ordered kim chee but they got over it and knew the round
eye female liked the stuff. (G) I had heard horror stories about it but
liked it from the first taste.

 DS>   Don't really need to do much -- there is going to be lots of food.

 RH> I know but we want to do our part.  Maybe chicken "scampi" as I can do
 RH> it over a propane camp stove and we'll have lots of rice to put it on.
 RH> It's a quick and easy thing too.

 DS>   We've taken a propane camp stove to picnics.   It can work well.
 DS>   Hopefully, we will have a setup with enough table space.   It will
 DS>   help if the weather cooperates.


We definately want a good weather day but should have fun even if we've
a bit of rain.  Last March the CO of the battalion had planned an
outside hail & farewell at his house; that was in the time of the 43
days straight of rain so we crowded probably 45-50 people inside and had
a good time, as usual.
