The term "cups" of popped corn is so vague!  It varies all over the lot
depending on the size of the popcorn, the way the kernels happen to fit
together, the way one judges the "level" full cup, etc..

The sources that give the nutritional value of popcorn all seem to use that
terminology.  It's close to being useless.  A better nutritioinal value
term would be the weight of the popped corn in ounces.  [and/or grams]

Another irritation to me is the label info.  Trying to figure out the
nutritional values for "one bag" is..... difficult and uncertain.

For instance "Pop Secret" Microwave [copied verbatim]:

   Serving size: 3 tbsp [39g] unpopped (makes 6 cups popped)
   Servings per bag  ** "about" ** two

Amount per serving: CALORIES :   
                    3 tbsp Unpopped 120 calories (makes 6 cups popped)
                    6 cups [30g] popped 110     "
                    1 cup popped         20     " 

                    FAT:  
         Total Fat    2g* [B4D:under the "amount per serving" column] 
                        *Amount in unpopped.  As popped, 6 cups provides 2g    
                  
                         total fat.   
(b4d: a real fine difference]

Remember, you can't measure out a tbsp .... it's all enclosed in a paper
bag that you microwave.   

All the other nutrients are just as clear.  

And by the way, all nutrients *but* CALORIES are listed by "% Of Daily
Value" under the columns: "3 tbsp popped"  "6 cups [30g] popped" and "1 cup
popped"  Not by grams or ounces. 
  
They have a value right after the name but no indication as to which of the
three "columns" the value is measured as.   As noted above, those columns
are filled with "% Daily Value" 

For example:        Sodium 380mg  
                    3 tbsp popped         16%
                    6 cups [30g] popped   10%
                    1 cup popped           2%
Also, note how strange grams of the 30g Sodium unit [one serving] is to the
"Serving size: 3 tbsp *[39g]* unpopped".    In American 30g equals 1.2
ounces, and 39g equals 1.6oz
 
I wrote to the company to give them a hard time, and told them I was unable
to figure out the nutritional values per bag {I could].   They sent me an
email giving the values in plain English.    Like pulling teeth.

I reread the above.....accurate but confusing as Heck.  But darned if I'll
take it out... you'll just have to live with it.   [g]
