You could camp out on their studio floor - them cultural types
are used to that kind of things. And you can bring gifts of
bread and cheese and cheap wine, so the food costs could be
minimized.

I was thinking of your cruelly abandoning your sweetie for a day
while you went gallivanting among your luthier and artist friends.

I'm in the beef camp, but like you only slightly. Not like
the coffee-tea dichotomy, where (oddly) I am hugely on the
side of the coffees.

Easy peasy about coffee, just replace it with hot chocolate!
Or half coffee and half hot chocolate - coffee in small enough
proportion will heighten the chocolate flavor without adding
a strong presence of its own.

Chocolate-Covered Strawberries 
cat: dessert
yield: 10

5 oz semi sweet dark chocolate
10 strawberries, whole with stem
1 oz white chocolate

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt in a
mixing bowl over a pot of boiling water. Remove from the
heat and gently mix until smooth with a rubber spatula.

Wash strawberries and lightly dry on a towel. Grab each
strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate.
Pull out and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment
paper. Place in the refrigerator to harden.

Chop the white chocolate into small pieces and melt in a
mixing bowl over a pot of boiling water. Remove from the
heat and gently mix until smooth with a fork. Remove the
chocolate-covered strawberries from the cooler. Dip the
fork into the melted white chocolate then quickly make
back and forth lines over the top of each strawberry.
Place back in the refrigerator for up to two days.
