That is cheap enough, for a slim, but very direct and to the point
practical book, with illustrations and instructions on how to make
simple, do-it-yourself aids to relieve pain.  Let me know how you get
on with it.

      Title: SWEETENED FRUIT, COCONUT & ICECREAM - HALO-HALO
 Categories: Desserts, Filipino, Asia-se
      Yield: 6 servings
 
           Icecream- vanilla; OPT
           LECHE FLAN; OPT
     14 oz Fruit cocktail
      1 c  Kaong/palm fruit in syrup
      1 c  ;OR fresh-packed pineapple
     15 oz Macapuno- sweetened; OR
    1/2 c  ; sweetened coconut flakes
      3 c  Ice; shaved
     15 oz Avoset cream; OR
     15 oz ; light cream, OPT
    1/2 c  Milk- sweetened condensed
    1/2 c  Cheese- Cheddar; grate OPT
 
  Drain the fruit cocktail & kaong, or pineapple. Divide the ingredients
  between 6 tall glasses; layer the fruit cocktail, kaong & macapuno.
  Cap each glass with shaved ice.
  
  Just before serving, pour the Avoset Cream & condensed milk over all.
  If desired, garnish with any combination of grated cheese, icecream,
  or leche flan.
  
  Experiment with different combinations, such as sweet beans, purple
  yams, jackfruit, tapioca, & various fruits.
