With a population for the republic of under 10,000, many of whom are
visiting workers, there are 2 or 3 resident doctors, a well-appointed
dialysis clinic, and visiting medics from NZ and Australia.  During
the 5 months I worked there, there were 3 presidents, 2 of whom
regularly visited Australia for diabetes treatment.  This disrupted
the Air Nauru schedules, as the president would order the one and only
737 to take him and his party to Melbourne, at his convenience.

The original more or less Micronesian inhabitants had lived since time
began on a diet of fish, seabirds, coconuts and breadfruit, and had an
active life.  With wealth from the phosphate, they became completely
sedentary, living on Victorian Bitter beer and barbecued mutton chops.

Take a tape-measure to check it.  Yesterday my #3 daughter, Arlyn in
Darwin, offered to take me to Melaka for an Easter holiday, so I might
have another opportunity to evaluate Tiger Airways.

Your Airforce 2 plane, and its VP occupant are about to leave Sydney,
after the lives of the local inhabitants have been thrown into chaos
for the last few days.  We have been told to fear Iran and China.

[A little later]  A generator fault on AF2 occurred, and the plane was
diverted to Singapore.  That strikes me as peculiar, because Singapore
is further than Sydney from USA, unless, of course, it was going to
some other country...

      Title: WRAPPER TRIANGLES
 Categories: Pastry, Sides, Filipino, Asia-se
      Yield: 20 servings
 
      2 c  Flour
    1/4 ts Salt
      3    Egg yolks; beat lightly
 
  Sift the flour & salt. One at a time, knead in the egg yolks,
  gradually adding 1/4c water. Knead till the dough is smooth & elastic.
  
  Roll out on a lightly floured board till paper-thin. Slice into
  triangles, the sides measuring 7.5cm. They can last up to a week
  tightly covered with plastic wrap & refrigerated.
