Well Tektites are still of very debatable origins...but I don't think lightning

strikes are considered tektites. Simply fused glass from the sand being heated 
to very high temps but not under any pressure to speak of (I think). I would 
think you might be able to create the same fused glass if you had a big 
enough and hot enough torch.
