I don't mind spinach at all. Not even raw spinach. But somehow
pastrami strikes me as being something noble enough (like
chicharrones, sirloin, chicken thighs, duck, and various other
things) not to require the aid of external agents, whether they
be spinach, mustard, or sauerkraut.

I had to look that up. I never watched Cheers or Fraser except
on United Entertainment [sic] Network, and usually even then I
was listening to Air Traffic Control while looking at the tv.

Why do the recipes for chap chae that I've seen use twice as
much sugar as it ought to have?

My opinion on all three of those kinds of rice is well known.
I reiterate: serves you right.

Burger Cipriani
cat: burger
servings: 1

8 oz lean ground beef
Worcestershire sauce
2 Tb EVOO
2 Tb sweet butter
1 sm sprig rosemary
1 ts flour
s & cayenne
1/4 ts lemon juice
sauteed spinach - opt
Italian dressing - opt

Make a patty out of the beef and Worcestershire. Set aside.

Heat the oil and half the butter. Add the rosemary.

Coat the burger with flour and fry until golden on one
side. Turn and cook to desired doneness. Sprinkle with
salt and cayenne during cooking. Sprinkle with lemon
juice. Add the rest of the butter to the pan. Cover and
turn off heat; let stand a couple minutes before serving.
May be topped with spinach and Italian dressing.
