Fabric stores are my weakness. (G)  Tho, if we're at Wal-Mart, Steve can
usually find me anywhere in the fabric/craft section.  He's usually next
door in electronics.

I suspect I'd cut down on the salty ingredients a bit but otherwise it
sounds good. The sauerbraten turned out really good, even starting it
about an hour later than I wanted to (had forgotten I had a
pulmonologist appointment at the time I wanted to start cooking so it
was delayed until I got home from that).  I used an eye round roast,
marinaded it about 3 1/2 days and did it in the cast iron dutch oven vs
my usual crock pot.  I made a gingersnap gravy this time and heated
(jarred) red cabbage while Steve made whole wheat spaezele.  We used the
pasta cooker for the spaezele--worked OK but lost some in the bigger
holes than the ricer/spaezele maker produced.  One thing that did work
quite well was the immersion blender (outboard boat motor) to smooth out
the gravy.  The whole meal was melt in your mouth good!  For dessert we
split the last lebkuchen. (G)

Chocolate, orange/anise and some almond but mostly the orange/anise. We
have electric irons that makes 2 cookies, 3 (smaller) and a one at a
time on the stove top so they can really be cranked out in quantitiy.
