Ärende: your stuff 213
======================
BF> [looking shifty] No matter how awful tasting, or how dreadfully
BF> disgusting it looks, I will serve my own creation. And you will eat
 BF> some of it.

Indeed. I'd rather My Stuff than what you describe in your
next post. I'd rather My Stuff than most burger restaurants,
pizza joints, Howard Johnson'ses.

BF> [chuckle] I wonder who'll get the best of that situation?

We'll all be richer at least for the experience.

 B4d> Heck, that's what I use.
sas-> For an Eat, you're remarkably daring in the kitchen. [g]
BF> Not daring. More like ignorant. When I do warm something up I'm apt
BF> to add whatever catches my fancy. Weds. night when Butch went to play
BF> Bridge I dumped some dipping oil [1 tsp?], some white truffles essence
BF> oil, some mint sauce into a big non-stick fry pan, and then dropped in
BF> two raw sliced garlic cloves, a lot of sliced onion, sliced cucumber, a
BF> bunch of cumin powder, and let it warm for quite a while at a very low
BF> heat, uncovered. Then I added some butter, 6 or 7 cut up stuffed
BF> olives, two sliced garlic stuffed olives [those great big ones],
BF> squirted on some horseradish sauce and some honey mustard sauce.

Okay except for the truffle essence (waste) and the cucumber
(nasty by definition). The sauces sound interesting, but I don't
think they're necessarily notably horrid even in combination.

   I
BF> let it cook some more until the onions started to turn a little, and
BF> then I put in a half a tomato chunked up. I let that warm a little
BF> and then I laid in three slices of left over turkey meatloaf that
BF> Shirley made the night before. When the meatloaf warmed up I threw in
BF> some water and a couple big dashes of Gravy master. It didn't make
BF> enough juice to make 'gravy' so I just ate the stuff without making it
BF> into hot gravy sandwiches, like I had planned. It tasted great,
BF> every bite was a little different, because I never bothered to stir up
BF> the mess as I added stuff.

"It tasted great" - famous last words.

-=> Dave Sacerdote said to Burton Ford <=-

B4d> I couldn't make any kind of recognized dish, but I can warm
 B4d> up a dilly of a mess.
DS> I don't think the dish you described would be recognized by it's own
 DS> mother. [g]

What he said, except for the apostrophe in its.
