I agree with this.  We have to remember also that we
spend at least a day in the kitchen ourselves.  It becomes
nearly  impossible to go everywhere and do everything.  Last
time everyone was here, we were doing so much we completely 
forgot about the peanuts...and we never had a chance to sample
any of the various local ice cream places (much to my regret.)

Carrying on with your message to ALL:

I am all in favor of this, for all the right reasons (which
include crabeating as well as being sociable.  I assume that
other foods will be available as well, since Lynn and Maryanne
are not big crab eaters.

Some people go on vacation and go sightseeing; Maryanne and I go 
on vacation and tour the supermarkets and grocery stores.  That's
why I said "Yay!" above.  But you had a good point when you said

     they are worth going to *IF* you want or need that 
     sort of thing and *IF* it is not available where you 
     live. . . ."

You guys know that we've got some pretty good ethnic markets
around here, so we will defer to the wishes of the group when it
comes to the marketing.

Still in agreement with Carol as above.  We will have plenty
of time for grabbing quick meals here and there, and of course
we'll all want to be dirtying up your newly-renovated kitchen.

DSh>     Do you have a preference or not for the main picnic 
         to be Saturday or Sunday.

We've bracketed out our vacation time so that we have no 
preference.
