My apologies for mis-interpreting your expression.  You did appear rather

It was taught to me by a Queensland primary school teacher, who had learnt it
from her students.

Testing blood pressure is OK, and does no harm, but you have to beware of any
more invasive blood tests.   Since Kevin got a device to test blood sugar, he
has been using it to test the sugar level of several wines, durian juice, and
his own and other people's blood.  It is most important to ensure that the
blood is no contaminated by any stuff on the skin.   He did a test on me, and I
got a fright from a sudden excessively high reading, into the diabetes level,
but that was after I had been eating ripe durian, and hadn't washed my hands. 
With the durian juice taken out of the mix, reading became normal.

Unfortunately our government expressly forbids us sending our very heavily
subsidised drugs to USA, so if you want a cheaper source than USA provides, you
would have to deal with Jim and his countrymen who keep sending me spam for
cheap Viagra and other drugs.

How many bananas is that equivalent to?

That sounds as if you have achieved a fine balance, in which the desired result
has been achieved, but without the excessive side effects which so often occur.
