Grin, yeah, we won it.  We also won the NEY award (cooking, best foods).

That made my 4th Battle E.  Each part is a collective effort of all of us so no
one person can claim much fame.  I can tell you though that the most drilled
repair locker was mine.  Repair 6. We 'wow'ed them out with how good we were
and when thehy looked it up and found out we had done so with an 85% turnover
just 2 months earlier, the graders started cheering.  Normally it takes a
person a year to get good in a repair locker and that with someone who's got 2
years at it or more to teach you 'one on one'.

Most proud of one of our newest members.  An SK3 (I try to not use names since
we get archived) who had 2 weeks in the locker.  80 lbs if that, we had to
keep swapping her job because she's too small for the firefighting gear. 
Major good though as a phone talker!  She after 2 weeks was able to help
prompt the scene leader with the the stuff he was forgetting and he'd been at
it (one of the few long term guys) for 2 years.

ATG's comments on our locker:  Excellent placement of the few remaining long
term personnel under an 85% turnover, phone talker especially.  Grin, I then
told'em she'd been there only 2 weeks and was one of the 4 of 25 who were
still UI (Under Instruction) for basic Damage Contol.  Did us all proud, she
did.

I have a real simple ethic with my locker.  I tell'em upfront there is no way I
can know as much as you guys (and gals) do collectively.  "let us train each
other' and we'll do well.

Oh looking up, the non-nautical folks might need a translation.  Repair locker
is a bit like a local firestation. We fight fires, flooding, and any other
emergency you might have, in our assigned area.  On a ship at sea, there is no
where to run so we *all* learn how to do these things.

Battle E is the ability to survive an attack with the damage of 8 missles that
hit the ship plus 4 mine hits.  At least, last I counted <g>.
