It rotates the meat around stationary elements.  I may google later to find a
picture for you but for now, it's like a rotisserie that you might buy for
home except this one is tall and thin comparitively and the heat, which rises,
is used by a metal teflon coated 'crock' at the top to allow you to cook a
second dish at the same time.  It's not all that far off from the bigger units
I saw in Jebel Ali for making shwarma meat except this one is enclosed.

I can too but we are the rare type who eat almost no sweets at all, so being
able to adjust the 'sweetness' appeals to us.  That it makes only 2 cups fnal
product was a plus for us.

I am happy with my manual one.  It's not the cheap type and works well though
it needs sharpening at last.

I've considered the 'cuisinart' or high end stuff once or twice because all the
attachments have things we'd like to use but slowly we have accumulated much
of that in other things (like a manual operated meat grinder).  A fruit
pulper/juice maker appeals to me but I'd not use it much as i dont normally
have ready access to that much fruit of a type to use it on.

Grin, well Dale loves his George Forman grill. For me, I seem to use a frying
pan with deep sides to do the same things or in some cases, my vertisserie
which is fairly new to us but a high use item.

I've tried the George F. grill and remain pretty much convinced it is not
useful for us due to cooking styles used.  On the other hand, their crockpot
is probably dusty <g>.

Might add, I have a pressure cooker but it's dusty too. I just didnt grow up
with that type of cookery so am not all that good with it, nor have i tried
much.
