even if no one is watching...that's a VERY good trait!

-> Meantime instead, this weekend she took a little flock out to the ginza

-> only 1 older boy to help (he's 15 and had his 8YO sister in tow).  Since

-> 8YO was the youngest and the group just 6 kids with only 1 other under
age 10, 
-> the parents all agreed it was ok to let'em go alone for a change.

There comes a time when you have to let them stretch their wings a little
and with only two under 10 and everyone helping keep an eye on them it
makes good sense to let them "fly" a little!

-> They promised to be really good and buy only the things on our various
lists 
-> plus lunch at the 'Cashew Chicken' (translated name, I forget what that
is in 
-> Japanese).  Oh we weren't too mean.  Each kid had an allowance of
1,000yen 
-> (10$) past the price of lunch to also spend on 'cool stuff'.  Charlotte,
bless 
-> her heart, spent 500yen of it at the 'bookbag repair' place getting the
wheels 
-> of her bag replaced with cool neon ones.  They were starting to wear
out.  She 
-> also got some blue nailpolish <g>.  It's neon blue and matches the
wheels.

-> Only in Japan would it make sense to have a back-pack repair shop that
replaces

-> wheels and things.  Come to think of it, my little pull cart needs new
ones

All too true! Here when the wheels start to go...you toss the whole thing
in the trash and buy another one...sigh
