You don't have to wait till then! We are in Leavenworth right now, and thanks 
to laptops and wifi, we can still get a fido fix nomatter where we are!

-> -> they had German food availalbe I guess.  Steve had taken me to The
-> -> Chef's Table in Honolulu (Hawaii Kai) for my birthday; it's actually
-> -> Austrian but the food was "much" better than the place in Vegas.

We went out to dinner last night to Cafe Christa, and boy was it good! Anne 
had the Saurbraten and I had Jaegerschnitzel...great spaetzle wonderful red 
cabbage and Anne was oooh'ing and Ahhhhh'ing over the saurbraten...then 
we had "Oma's caramel apple pie with whipped cream and a shortbread crust" 
very very good and worth the carbs !

->  hn> Anne is of German/Bohemian stock so she loves the german food she 
grew
->  hn> up eating, Roladin, saurbraten, the little potato starch dumplingy
->  hn> things that have no taste...she loves all that stuff! So you can bet
->  hn> we'll be dining at one of the german places in town tomorrow night!

-> I may do that, or I may do some German cooking myself.  We're doing a
-> commissary run this week end so I can get what I need. Steve and I both
-> enjoy German cooking; it's my heritage and half of Steve's.

It's not in mine at all but I do so love a good wurst or schnitzel! Anne goes 
for the saurbraten and rolladin and the red cabbage she ate often as a child.
What are you gonna make?

Most of the friends that I stay in contact with were more like me, the others 
sort of faded into the mists of time...it's a relatively small group, military
brats 
who went to school overseas....and you girls would fit right in...Priscilla 
Presely is a member, and many of my friends have either met or knew 
her "way back then" .
