Ah.  Makes Hawaii sense there <g>. You never really grow old or die there, you

Should be, and i bet you've seen this same thing but may not have liked it as
well as we did.  There was one also called 'portugese' that I recall and I
think it was a fattier variation than the one my local store made.  Yes, home
made was best.  Very close item though to the one they called 'portugese' but
that was more fatty with a hint of something almost like maple syrup to it.

Humm!  Sounds interesting.  I've taken to the asian way, cut 2 thick slices off
along the 'bone' (center stone) and then crosscut that to squares and eat off
the rind.  The part along the 'bone' you just knarf down as is.

On Food TV, Emeril is about the only one we get out here in english, so we
watch it.  I've not seen any of the others folks here mention.  *sigh* 6 years
and counting....  It's been lovely but I wanna go home and see the things
others do again. There's this series called 'Angel' that we can only buy in
DVD but have never seen.  I'm not sure if it's still on.  Whole slew of things
ike that which we've not seen.

In fact, post 9/11 USA culture, we havent seen.  Yes, been out here that long.
I watched you move to Hawaii from Sasebo and have seen you move back. When I
left, we had Vans and fancy ones were SUV's.  What the heck is a Hummer? 
Fancy SUV it sounds like?

I'm sure!  True Japan mix would come over as a bit odd there.  In USA, you'd at
least have a basic color schema (mostly green orsomething like that). Not so
here.

Naw, they arent intended to 'unify' but to complement a varigated color table.
It's sort of like having a wild flower garden that makes a total picture but
each is distinctly unique.  The flavors of the foods though are made to
complement.  I dont know the background enough better than to say what i see.

It is! It's a minor fun but we like to drag out all sorts of things to set a
table here.  Charlotte's favorite rice bowl has a sort of pink version of
Dutch delft with a laughing fellow that is a bit mixed between budda and a
clown. Mine is the one with green flowers and yellow leaves. Don likes the one
with blue delft-looking bamboo shoots. Our chopsticks are also varied as are
our mugs for whatever we are drinking.  Under it all, is one of the many silk
tablecloths we've gotten out here.  Bright ones with many patterns and colors.
