Yeppers! Anne is always casting about for some good idea for a gift for 
me...she's got a great heart and really tries to do great gifts but it always 
seems to backfire on her (grin), somehow she got it in her head that I 
wanted a breadmaker and she saw one on sale with a juicer as a freebie with 
it (separate machine!) so she picked it up for a surprise gift for me. Like I 
said, the breadmaker has not even been out of the box! We did use the juicer 
for a few days...but now it sits mostly idle as well (grin)

-> For us, it's mixing and matching again since we used up the whole loaf 
feeding 
-> kids for tomorrow.

-> The parents that are home now have done a fun thing.  They stuck plastic

-> wax markers up showing what they got for lunch ready for kids to come

Yep it's been like that in base housing as far back as I can remember (grin) 
and that's getting to be a looooong ways! I can remember when dads 
were "away" back in the 50's and pay checks didn't always make it to the end 
of the month...everyone in the neighborhood would pitch in and make big 
potlucks and somehow all the "leftovers" made it to the people who needed 
them the most!
