Ok!  Generic works!  Same now for that but we get a bit more careful for the
First Class now.  Dunno why exactly except a PO1 is a very different animal
from a PO3.

Yes, we still have STAR and SCORE both.  (for the others, STAR is trainig in
your own rate and may get you advanced depending on the school, SCORE is to
change job types).

Grin, MT?  Sorry ong gone too.  ET's I think for all of them.  DS is also gone
(FC or ET).

Yup.  Still happens today.  Higher the rank, fewer the openings.  Steve's got
the same issues with orders and hits high year tenure APR09 while I hit it
MAY09.

(BTW, we just partly packed Minnie and Mannie for travel.  'Lion' decided to
travel a bit with them.  Minnie insists on her scruffy old skarf made out of
some material Charlotte first learned to sew with.  It's the last remnant of
it left.  Mannie has gained a pin from Charlotte's AVID class, a sort of Japan
school thing.  Both are wandering about grabbing little stuff they want to
take back home with them.)

Heye yes, girl goat locker sleeping part.  We dont wanna hear the guys bleet in
their sleep.

Surface Navy is a little kinder on how long you get to qualify, but not much
more so.  'Warfare' pins now are a little different with much less required
and you can do it in 3 months.  Sheesh.  Used to take 2 years for a hard
charger on their first ship to do that.  Most did it second ship after they
got all the pre-reqs on the first one, if they did it at all.

Grin, not to worry.  Folks here like to hear about it.  I suspect we show them
a different world and one they are curious about.  We've both been careful to
omit any navy 'terms' that might upset the moderator even if translated
(wink).
