sas-> Or, you could be actually speaking about Norton Anti-virus, which
sas-> is indeed such a resource hog that I will probably not be renewing
sas-> my own subscription.  I feel a little melancholy about that, because
sas-> I have been using some kind of Norton product since the very first
sas-> Norton Utilities 1.0 when Peter Norton stood guard on the box cover
sas-> with his arms crossed geekily and wearing a stern expression on his
sas-> wusslike face.

I've been using Norton for years.  I just renewed my Norton System Works
2005.  I got in a godawful mess that required getting Norton's Remove [or
some such program] and reinstalling NSWs, all sorts of knobby little
problems showing up for several days, etc.

I didn't really want to renew, because I can see the hit on my resources
I'm getting.  I don't now what to replace the System Works with.  I use,
and trust, all those sub-programs.   I am literally afraid to drop Norton.

If you decide to do so, I'd be pleased to know how you go about it.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Messy Fredericks
 Categories: Breads
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
MMMMM------------------ONE OF CHEF FREDDY'S OWN-----------------------
  1 1/2 lb Boiled ham [sliced thin
           .enough to see through]
      1 lb Turkey breast [sliced thin]
      1    Bottle (18 to 20 oz) of your
           .favorite Bbq sauce
    3/4 c  Brown sugar
      1 ts Cinnamon [ground]
  1 1/2 ts Worchestershire sauce
      6    Hamburger buns [toasted or
           .grilled]
      6 sl Sandwich cheese
 
  1)      Slice or shred all of the ham and the turkey into medium size
  bits and put into a sauce pan with the Bbq sauce, worchestershire
  sauce, brown sugar, and cinnamon...stirring until all meat is
  coated... Set aside for 2 hours... 2) Heat meat mixture over med.
  heat until warmed through and sauce is bubbling... Spoon some meat
  mix onto the bottoms of each hamburger bun... top with a slice of
  cheese and the top of the bun... 3) Serve with french fries or fried
  potato wedges...
