I've already asked for cites. I have been inflicted with much of 
Gleason's repertoire - including his "And Away We Go" release by a 
friend who was a fan. (I'm most definitely not into zillion and one 
strings filtered through Montavani by Ferrante & Teischer)

      Title: Shell Bean Saute
 Categories: Beans, Wine
      Yield: 5 servings
 
      4 c  Shelled fresh beans
           -(cranberry, lima, black-eye
           -flageolet)
      6 tb Butter
      2    Shallots, peeled and minced
    1/4 c  White wine
      1 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Freshly ground pepper
      4 tb Minced fresh tarragon
      2    Tomatoes, peeled, seeded and
           -chopped (opt)
 
  Late summer and early fall bring fresh shell beans of all types, from
  lima and cranberry beans and black-eye peas to the less commonly
  available French flageolet and plump Italian borlotti beans. Any or
  all of these may be mixed in a simple and delicious saute, with or
  without other seasonal vegetables. Cook them simply, to showcase
  their flavor.
  
  Put the shelled beans in the top of a steamer and steam until tender
  (cooking time depends upon tenderness of uncooked beans). When the
  beans are done, remove from heat and set aside.
  
  Melt half of the butter in a large skillet, add the shallots and saute
  for 2 or 3 minutes, or until translucent. Add the wine and reduce by
  half. Add the beans, the remaining butter, salt, pepper and tarragon;
  stir to coat the beans with the butter sauce. Add optional tomatoes;
  taste for seasoning, and add more salt and pepper if needed. Serve
  hot.
  
  Serves 4 to 6
