Much more sensible, I'd say, than shipping the chicken pieces
to the Stop & Shop commissary to be re-handled and repackaged.

However. I've seen S&S chicken with non-S&S price tags - these tags
say Stop and Shop on them but are printed in a different way - using
a light sans-serif type that I see also at Safeways and Harris Teeter,
so I'm willing to give credence to some of what Mark says. There are
more pecularities, Horatio, than are explained by our own culinary
philosophies.

I believe you more than Mark on this one; and his 110% for 100%
scenario smacks more of an informal arrangement than a formal one.
Perhaps there is an allowance, though, for spoilage?

Cheese Pastry "Zagorje" (zagorski Strukli)
cat: Croatian, main

h - For Pastry
500 g Flour
1 Egg
2 Tb Oil
Salt
1 Tb White Mild Vinegar
Warm Water
h - For Filling
150 g Butter
4 Egg Yolks
600 g Cottage Cheese
Salt
h - For Topping
80 g Butter
50 g Breadcrumbs
 
Place the flour on top of the bench, make a small well
in the centre, add the eggs, oil, and water mixed with
the vinegar. Knead the dough until very smooth, cut into
thirds, brush with oil and cover with warm metal bowl.

Make the filling by mixing all of the ingredients,
stretch the dough very thinly and place on to a small
tablecloth. Strain the cheese and spread over the pastry,
then roll into a large pancake by lifting one side of the
tablecloth away from yourself.

Cut the Pancake into 10cm long 'strukli' with a thick-rim
medium-sized plate close to the edges. Drop the struki
into salted boiling water a few at a time and cook for
15 - 20 min.

Remove strukli from the water. With a slotted spoon, fry
the breadcrumbs in butter and pour over the strukli.
