This would be more like trying to make surimi (which I actually like for some 
things) out of sea cucumbers...there's just no real "meat" there to work with! 
If you can actually come up with a commercial application for these little 
critters you'd be wealthy quickly! They are quite plentiful, hermaphroditic, 
and lay LOTS of eggs (also which nothing seems to eat), so you'd have a 
virtually limitless supply to work with. AND no proscriptions on taking as many

as you want to take!

I'm not really sure, she's still refining her "question" and as new data
(almost 
all her data is "new") comes in it changes what she's thinking about in terms 
of her "question"...Good news though, she just got a full funding grant from 
the EPA (or did I tell you this already?) that will cover her research costs
for 
the next three years. That is a BIG load off her mind as now she is in the 
position of having more choices available than she can use! Her latest 
experiment concerned the feeding rates of carcinus when subjected to the 
slime of the philine...we already have determined that the crabs won't eat 
the slugs...and the slime seems to be unpalatable to them as well....would 
the presence of the slime in the water affect the feeding rate of the 
carcinus? She did several tests with the crabs, slime and actuall philine in
the 
buckets with the crabbies....seems like the preliminary results are not 
encouraging, apparently the mere presence of the slime does not bother the 
crabs as much as she was hoping it would....oh well, like I told her; science 
takes you where IT goes...not where you want it to go!
