Yes, not worth the time really but an interesting experiment we tried.  Mostly
we use rice flour as others would use flour to dust something about to be
fried.

To me, they are part of the scenery and a most interesting part!

Ok, the 2oz bottles would suit me well enough.  I didnt know on the licorice or
I'd have warned you off from the start.  While the spice isnt heavey licorice
flavored, it's definately an element of it.  Star Anise is a goodly portion of
it.  If they have any open so you can sniff test, you'd probably enjoy just
seeing what 5-spice smells like but i wouldnt spend any money on it in your
case.
