Ärende: Hello
=============
Hi Carol,

CM> I hope so, Carol's place would be easier for me to get to than Dale's
 CM> would.

RH> Sean is half talking about it as well; he's just north of Atlanta.
RH> Looks like we're getting a good group from the south on the echo now.

CS> Yup. And Sean's is better located for some of the others of us. I
CS> wouldnt mind picking Cindi up on the way to Sean's if thats how it
CS> goes. I might ask Cindi if she minds a side trip to Clemson on the
CS> way down so I can play in my teen-years home places for a day.

I answered this from the packet Dale sent me but due to goof ups by my
technical advisor (AKA Steve), it got sent out as addressed to me--along
with a couple of other replies to you.

My mailing address is: 56 New Savannah Drive, Savannah, GA, 31405-6875.
Yes, you can use it to send stuff that can't be shipped. Must be a
different rule in place as we shipped various food stuffs from Germany
in 92 and to/from HI.

On our trip, we spent one night in the Angelica Inn (started as a house
in 1866 to replace the one burned down that was built in 1801). It's
now a Bed & Breakfast about 20 minutes from the college I went to in
western NY. After finally finding a place to stay in the area, we
headed over to a new eatery in town (Angelica) that was mostly burgers,
sandwiches, pizza and ice cream. I had a so-so beef on weck, forget
what Steve had. Decided to get ice cream for dessert so wandered over
to that half of the building.  One called "Moose Tracks" caught my eye;
kid behind the counter said it was vanilla with chocolate chunks. He
scooped up a cone for me; on my first bite I tasted peanut butter. To
verify, I took another (small) bite, confirmed and told the kid that it
did. He disbelieved me so Steve tried it and confirmed; kid's manager
alsp disagreed. Manager, facing the 2 of us standing firm, asked the
owner of the shop and got confirmation that PB is in it. My cone was
replaced by a chocolate one and the shop will be posting a sign to warn
of the PB in the Moose Tracks.

The next morning we had a nice breakfast of fruit cup (drizzled with a
bit of light honey and nutmeg), Belgian waffles with fruit & whipped
cream, tea (me), coffee (Steve), fruit juice (me) and sausage (me).
After a tour of the place (nice sized kitchen--lots of professional
goodies) we checked out (do plan to return) and went up to the college
for about an hour or so of wandering. It's still got a lot of
character--river stone on a lot of the buildings--a few changes since we
were there in 2000 for an alumni week end. Much smaller than Clemson (I
saw that last year on our way east.) so we saw all we wanted to in a
short time of walking around and talking to another former grad we met.

I'll write up other food experiences of the trip over the next few days
but since you mentioned college, this one fit in nicely. (G)
