I still have lots of innocent enthusiasm for things like beer and
great burgers. Had another great burger last night, equal to the
Delux burger I mentioned on the road trip travelogue. Pierre, the
award winning French chef from L'Heritage, got this summer's
contract running the Wildcat Cafe, Yellowknife's oldest restaurant
(1935) which is housed in an log cabin. The historical society owns
it and runs it summers with outside help and a new chef and menu
every year. He is doing light bistro food not grand cuisine but
incorporating a lot of wild game and local fish into his dishes.
Roslind had a wonderful smoked arctic char fettuccine Alfredo and I
had a bison burger with bacon, mushrooms and fried onions on a
home baked sourdough bun. For starters we split a spinach salad with
a wild cranberry vinaigrette.

We talked about it briefly in passing but mostly just visited.

Are you suggesting she's flat and round? I think not!
