      Title: (AFA) Taro Balls In Coconut Cream (Bua Loi Phuak) Thai
 Categories: Thai, Desserts
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      1 c  Cooked taro, mashed
      2 c  Glutinous rice flour
      1 c  Corn flour
      4 c  Coconut milk
      1 c  Palm sugar
    1/8 ts Salt
      8 ts Water
 
  Put the glutinous rice and flour and the corn flour in a bowl. Add the
  mashed taro and knead to a soft dough. Add the mashed taro and knead
  well. Roll into tiny balls and set aside. Dissolve the palm sugar and
  salt in the coconut milk over a low heat, stirring constantly. Bring
  to the boil and add the taro balls. When they are cooked, remove from
  the heat. Serve hot.

      Title: Coconut Snow Ball
 Categories: Desserts, Asian, Nuts
      Yield: 1 servings
 
           Outer-layer:
    240 g  Glutinous Rice Flour
    3/4 c  Water
     60 g  Wheat Starch
     60 g  Boiling Water
     60 g  Lard
     40 g  Sugar
           Fillings:
    120 g  Coconut Flakes
    120 g  Peanut
    240 g  Sugar
           Garnish:
           Red Cherries For Decoration
           Cut into small pcs.
           Coconut Flakes for a thin
           Coating
 
  Sift glutinous rice flour on table, pour in water slowly and knead
  into soft dough. 2. Sift wheat starch in a mixing bowl. Pour in
  boiling water and stir well immediately. 3. Knead both doughs
  together with sugar and lard.  Mix well. 4. Steam 2/3 of dough for
  15 minutes. Take out and knead together with the other 1/3. 5.
  Saute and grind peanuts. Mix in sugar and coconut flakes for
  filling. 6. Cut dough into 32 to 40 small pieces (depend on the
  size you want). Press and shape into small nests and fill each
  with filling.  Draw edge together and shape to ball shape. 7. Put
  snow balls into steamer and steam for 3 minutes.  Decorate each
  with a thin coating of coconut flakes and a piece of cherry.
  
  Any kind of sweet paste can be used for filling
