Nah, the most evil of the predatory lenders are the "payday loan" places
and the "title loan" joints. Usury! I wish they'd (in my state, at 
least) outlaw their sorry arses. But, with their obscene profits they 
can afford to keep and support tame politicians to do their bidding.

Maybe not all that bad. But, not all that good, either. I don't hate it.
I am just disappointed in it as a Dijon style mustard. I was raised to a
zippier, more piquant, standard. Grey Poopy is nearly bland compared to 
Mr. Mustard or Kurtz Dijon-style mustard.

      Title: Rancho Cherry Pie

  1 1/3 c  All-purpose flour
      2 ts Sugar
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Butter
      1 sm Egg
      3 ts Milk

MMMMM--------------------------FILLING-------------------------------
      5 c  Sweet Bing cherries; pitted
    1/2 c  Sugar
      1 tb Lemon juice
    1/2 ts Almond extract
      1 tb Butter; in tiny bits
      4 tb Flour
      2 ts Quick-cooking tapioca
 
  "We've come a long way since a proper California lady had to prove her
  worth by how well she rode a horse and how delicately she stretched a
  tortilla," says South to North columnist Jacqueline Higuera McMahan.
  "In our family, baking was also important. In that department, my
  mother won hands-down. The fruit trees on our family's rancho were so
  prolific that my mother spent entire summers baking pies when she was
  a girl." This is one of her recipes.
  
  To prepare the dough, put all dry ingredients in a bowl or a food
  processor. Work the butter into the flour until mealy. Beat the egg
  with the milk and sprinkle half of this liquid on the flour-butter
  mixture. Stir with a fork or blend with quick pulses of the
  processor. Add the rest of the liquid by drops, making sure the dough
  does not become too damp. It should not feel sticky.
  
  Remove dough from the bowl or processor and place on a lightly floured
  board. Push across the board with the heel of your hand. Scrape up
  dough using a scraper or spatula. Push the dough across the board
  again. Scrape up again. This step layers the butter throughout the
  dough. Form into a flattened round, wrap in plastic wrap and chill
  for 30 minutes. (You may place in a plastic bag and freeze for later
  use. Thaw in the refrigerator.)
  
  While the dough is chilling, prepare the filling. Stir all ingredients
  together and allow the juices and sugars to steep for at least 15
  minutes.
  
  Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a 9-inch Pyrex pie dish with the
  dough. Fill with the cherry mixture. Dot with butter. Bake for 10
  minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 375 degrees and continue to
  bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool on a rack before serving.
  
  Serves 6 to 8
  
  Note: If you want to make a lattice top for the pie, double the crust
  recipe (if you use a processor, make it in two batches). If you make
  the pastry by hand, divide the dough in half, one half slightly
  larger than the other, form each into a disk, wrap in plastic and
  refrigerate. Use the larger half for the bottom crust; roll out the
  smaller half and cut into strips for the lattice topping.
