True.  Sorry about that if it made you feel bad today.  Our sidewalks btw are
not like wide USA ones.  They are normally 2ft wide at most.  Many are only
1ft wide. Normally of a brick-like tile or true brick.

Many streets arent but 5ft wide and many cars not more than 4ft wide.  It's a
land where smaller is better.

Yup.  It's a 1994 car and very gently used.  USA price would not be less than
3,000$ at a dealer.  Umm, translating KM to M, about 30,000m on it.  The buyer
was so delighted, he tossed me an extra 100$ so now got 600$ for it.

Today's lunch was a mix of leftovers and one fresh made item.  It was a picked
over chicken adobo breast (3 oz or so of meat in an aspic like congealed
adobo), a can of asparagus, 3 oz or so slivered beef rump roast with a very
thin spread of vegemite and mayo-horseradish, and the 'fresh' frozen pork
terikyaki pattie in a plastic bag that you boil (3oz also).  I was ready to
make some Udon too, but we didnt need more food after splitting the above. 
Meat heavy meal for us but it tasted good!

Glenn will be rolling probably at the idea of cold rump roast spread with
vegemite, but we liked it well.  Just goes to show you that if you dont know
what a food is traditionally used for, you tend to make up things if you have
it that work.

My experince witht hem is years ago, but I found they were pretty much small
ovens so crisped things as well as an oven would.  Not better or worse really.

      Title: Onion and Mushroom Bhajis
 Categories: Appetizers
      Yield: 10 Servings
 
      1    Onion
      2 oz Button mushrooms
    1/4 c  Brown rice flour
    1/4 c  All-purpose flour
    1/2 ts Turmeric
    1/2 ts Hot chili powder
    1/4 ts Ground cumin
    1/4 ts Ground coriander
    1/4 ts Salt
    2/3 c  Plain yogurt
           Vegetable oil for deep
           -frying
           Fresh parsley sprig (opt)
 
  Peel, quarter and thinly slice onion.
  
  Coarsely chop mushrooms. In a bowl, combine flours, turmeric, chili
  powder, cumin, coriander and salt. Stir in onion, mushrooms and
  yogurt; mix well.
  
  Half fill a deep-fat fryer or saucepan with oil; heat to 375'F.
  (190'C.) or until a 1/2" cube of day-old bread browns in 40 seconds.
  Divide mixture in 10 equal portions. Drop spoonfuls of mixture into
  hot oil and fry 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  Drain on paper towels. Garnish with parsley sprig, if desired, and
  serve warm.
