Around here it's called a bleary Mary and I like them quite a bit.
Beer and tomato juice or bloody mary mix go together quite well in
my opinion...others may vary (g). While down in Davis CA last week I took
Amanda to several eating places....one called Dos Coyotes was particularly 
nice. At first glance it looks like a typical Mexi place....not fast food but
not 
real fancy either....you go in and the menu is up on the wall behind the open 
kitchen space with about 12 folks working in it. There was quite a substantial 
menu listed but I  (and Amanda as well) felt like a burrito...we both chose the

Burrito Colorado with shredded beef....and went to our table. I saw that they 
had a "condiment" bar along the back wall so I went to get samples of stuff. 
They had a very nice aquacate (sp??) sauce with avacado and hot peppers, 
and several pico de gallo type salsas and about 6 "sauces" from enchilada to 
WOOOO HOOO HOT! I grabbed a good selection of same and started back to 
the table...and the burritos were already there!! You can get beer or wine 
but we both just had Ice water. The burrito was quite good, plenty of hearty 
red sauce plenty spicy and nice chunks of beef shreds and beans. A good 
sized burrito that took up most of the plate. Neither of us could finish one!
Price for the dinner for the both of us.....$16.50...not bad at all! Also there
is 
a place called Crepeville, where they serve......yep crepes of all sorts and 
persuasions! Again the menu is up on the walls above the counter and you 
order and pay and go sit and wait for your order to come to you....College 
town, college prices you get a good sized crepe with whatever fillings you 
order (amanda got florentine with feta, onions, spinach, peppers and 
something more) and about half a plate of roasted potatoes, roasted chunks 
cooked to a nice crispy crunchy state and well seasoned. I had turkey hvarti 
cheese onions, green peppers, avacado and sour cream on mine! YUM! Price? 
With coffee and tea it was again about $16.00 or so. I also got a sandwich 
for later at the airport turkey, swiss, sprouts, tomato, cream cheese and 
lettuce on whole grain (fairly dark and coarse) bread....$5.65, it should have 
come with potatoes as well but I couldn't figure a way to carry them in my 
backpack so I passed on them. It was a good thing that I took a sandwich 
with me as I got to the airport 3 hours before flight time and the flight got 
delayed for 2.5 hours as well.....made for a long boring day at the 
Sacramento airline with the exception of the inaugural flight of jet blue's non

stop from Sacramento to NY...they had big scissors and a balloon arch, and 
free snackies for everyone...about 30 minutes of speeches and hoopla and 
they were gone as well.
