You do learn fast in a situation like that. It would be interesting to
reunite the group in a few years to see how the kids have all grown. We
sitl keep in touch with some of the (American) friends we made in
Germany; most of us have at least one grandkid now.

Good for her! As long as she remembers the simple rules of keeping
kosher, the Jewish family will be happy.  And, it can be done without
making an issue of it so the other kids won't notice it a bit.

Well, they're inexpensive enough to replace.  Besides, it saved you a
little bit of weight on your hhg shipment. (G)

So they get recyled in the neighborhood. We keep ours in the freezers so
they will be ready whenever we need them (less so now with electric
coolers) and if the power goes out, it's one more bit of extra chill on
hand.

Could be.  Maybe her husband will be assigned to Norfolk and we'll meet
them at a picnic.

OK, still sounds a bit retro with a mini skirt.

Sounds good to me. I pressure canned my salsa on Saturday.  The recipe
called for a water bath processing but it's easier for me with what I've
got to work with now to just pressure can.
