Well, it was worth a try.  This place was semi busy but would probably
have been busier had it not been raining buckets outside.  Thunder and
lightning too.

Most of the meat/veg combo things were OK--not outstanding but not bad
either.  They had a lot of fried stuff on one bar but we generally don't
do too much of that.

Stewy things would, but others not so well.

There's a lot more to German cooking than that.  Pork isn't the only
meat they use either; we've had great veal and chicken meals as well.
Steve had hasenpheffer (pepper rabbit) once at our favorite
German/Austrian place in Hawaii Kai.

I bake mine right after it's made, then once again before serving.  If
it needs reheating, baking is not the ideal method but will work if
there's no other choice.  Usually a microwave can be used but on a lower
power setting for a bit longer than it wouldtake on high.

I didn't hear about that one, and, like you, I've never encountered a
rare rouladen.

Quite a prolific composer.  Should he give up his day job?

I've heard bits and pieces of his solo work and a few duets.  Not 100%
my style either but a lot more so than a lot of "music" (or what they
try to call music) out there these days.
