Diabolically clever: the fear and paranoia instilled were
worth incalculably more than a few thousand bucks and a
couple dozen expendable tools who went up in smoke dreaming
of veiled virgins.

It's sort of a misspeech, as what it probably means is
"One World sapphire, ruby, emerald, Star gold and silver,"
but until that is fixed, I see no problem with people with
general membership cards sneaking in. As it turns out, the
people who sneaked in had no cards at all (they barged in
in front of me, and I saw their boarding passes). Now you
have become Star Silver at least through KrisFlyer and are
entitled to all the benefits due thereto, which is to say,
to avoid being kicked in the pants by the airlines.

Even better is the free wireless (between certain hours); the
computers upstairs are okay, but the ones on the main level
are slow, unreliable, and I imagine probably virus-ridden.

Correct on all counts, except the thottling back part.

Cruzan Cherry Orchard
cat: booze, United Airlines
servings: 1

1 part Cruzan black cherry rum
1 part Cruzan light rum
1 part pressed apple juice
1/2 part simple syrup
1/2 part lemon juice

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled martini
glass. Garnish with apple slices.
