They've already resulted in the end of civilization as I know it.
Problem being that every age has had people with these impulses;
it's just more recently that they've had the resources to act on
them to any extent. Plus with the immediacy offered by the news
media, a relatively small effort makes relatively medium-size
damage that is reported on ad nauseam and makes relatively large
annoyances for everyone.

I just checked, and they continue to kick you but only on the
shins until you achieve KrisFlyer Gold.

Hum, corruptible? As in susceptible to bribes in the form of
excellent exotic elixirs?

Now I could be corrupted with a nice dish of camel hump stew.

yield: 1 text only

Cut 4 pounds of camel meat, 1 pound of camel hump, 1 pound
of camel liver in thin strips. Put the meat in a pot with
with 1 cup water, 1 1/3 cups oil, the juice of 1 pound of
onions, 2 teaspoons salt and cook, loosely covered, until
the water has evaporated and the meat starts to fry. Add
the hump and fry together. Add 2 cups of vinegar and cook
until tender. Then throw in the liver with 1 cup onion
puree and plenty of coriander, salt, pepper and caraway.
Cook until done.
