ready they can skip a day of work here & there.

We will but I found out there's a Rockport shoe outlet at the Hilton
Head Tanger Outlet; I want to get some walking shoes.  I'm also trying
to convince Steve he needs to get some new clothes.

Got the sauerbraten to be marinading today.  I used a couple of medium
onions, a cup & half of red wine vinegar, about a cup and quarter of
water, a couple of bay leaves, a dozen each cloves and peppercorns and
about 8 each juniper berries and (something new) whole all spice.  It'll
marinade until Friday afternoon, then I'll braise it in my cast iron
dutch oven, thickening the juices to make a gravy out of ginger snaps.
I'll serve it with red cabbage and whole wheat noodles, pumpkin roll for
dessert.

I don't have too much of a collection as it's come on an "as I get it"
basis.  I do have some old (Sadam era) Iraqi money, as well as some from
East Germany.

As we found out in July!  That was fun and we're going to try to make
more of them. Michael set the standard for crab cakes but there was also
a lot more good eating going on that week end.
