The fact that you can actually be managing some OTHER team than the yanks
seems to me to be reward enough! I think I'd have a lot more respect for a
manager who managed to get to the world series, or even the post season
with any other team besides the yanks (or the dodgers or braves). I'm a sox
fan more often because I'm NOT a yanks fan than a sox devotee...to be
honest the two worst teams we see (in terms of the fans they bring to the
ballpark) are the Yankee's and Boston...not much difference between the
conduct of the two sets, both do their best to be obnoxious and
disrespectful of the other teams. The only real difference ( and it's in
the sox's favor) is that there are lots of sox fans who bring their
families west on vacation to see the sox play in west coast venues (where
actually getting a decent seat is a likelyhood). And I get to meet many of
them and they are great! The 20'somthings who come just to yell and get
drunk and rowdy and cause trouble are sadly the same between the sox and
they yanks...however true to my ABY (Anybody But Yankees) I'm a devoted Sox
fan when they play the yanks! (grin) And I'm rooting for them in the series
as well.

Yup, Mega was by far the fullest featured grocery in our local area and the
runner up is a distant second by a great margin.

Yep, but as I said I'm not the biggest donut fan around so I don't go
hunting for them around town...I imagine there are some donut shops still
around but I haven't looked for one.

She's making an active effort to work 50 hours or less a week now....I'm
not sure how successful she's going to be...but she's at least stated the
goal!
