That's all right for the rest of the world. I could get
100% of my nutrition from animal protein and be just as
happy as a clam.

I looked at it the other way! I thought it was the soybean and
wheat cartel. I can hardly get by these days with a few ounces.

That was a decade or more ago for me.

Lucky for me I like Noir Infini 99% cacao! but sadly that
contains too many stimulants.

That's pretty good, if you use a lot of bacon fat. Of course
I'd eat shredded cardboard if it had soaked up a lot of bacon fat.

Refried Beans
cat: beans, Sam Choy
Yield: 2 lb

8 oz Pinto Beans
1 Ham Hock Shank
1 clove minced garlic
4 oz minced Maui Onion
1 ts Cooking oil
Garlic salt and pepper to taste

In a heavy saucepan, mix pinto bean and ham shank, fill with water enough
to cover. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for two to three hours or
until beans are soft. After beans are soft, discard ham hock, strain beans
and save stock.

In a frying pan, add teaspoon cooking oil, add minced garlic. Saute for
two to three minutes, add minced onions, saute for two to three minutes,
add cooked beans with one quarter cup stock. While cooking...smash beans
with potato masher. Seasoned to taste with garlic salt and pepper.

**For consistency, add more broth if desired***
